Baby 2 Adventure

I feel so guilty not religiously posting updates for baby 2 — not posting any actually. Sorry baby! I have all the time in the world yet I feel so lazy and tired and uncomfortable all day. This second pregnancy is way different from my first. I am having vomiting episodes that usually ends in the hospital because of the never-ending vomit. If not, there is usually discomfort in stomach, or I’ll have LBM, or I feel like tummy is getting hard every so often.

As of writing, I am on my 10th month and 5 days. I hope after the first trimester, this pregnancy blues is over. My first pregnancy parang wala Lang, I can do anything like I’m not pregnant. Now, I can barely walk for an hour straight — either sasakit likod, titigas ang tummy… Or naduduwal and end up burping or farting. Ayayay!

Looking forward to my 12th month and hopefully all will be better 🙂

Lies, Doubt, Trust Issues

I have been asked why I didn’t ever doubt the yaya of my kid.

First off, I am not built that way. If there is no evidence, before I doubt others, I try to put the blame on me first — I must have misplaced it, I must have been too lenient, I must have asked too much… Or I blame it on circumstances, maybe she just had a hard day, maybe she’s tired.  Call me engot as you may, I am just not built that way. I am a benefit-of-the-doubt kind of girl.

Second, if you have someone you put your kid’s life into, you have full trust in her. If I didn’t, she should not be in that position in the first place. (Such a BIG lesson learned right here). I am a believer that all people are good. Maybe that is the reason why this is all happening. It’s time to keep all guards up. And the universe is sending me a lesson, IN BULK.

This yaya issue is the least of my problem actually. Draining as it is, it is at the bottom of my life challenges now. That is how bad this month is turning to be.

I have other trust issues, similar to this, where you trust is 100%, and in just a blink of an eye, they turned out to be your worst enemy. And to say it is part of it all, I just can’t accept.

Imagine having 2 consecutive blotter causing incidents, another internal agreement – can you imagine what’s in between? Explanation, tears, shouting, nerve wrecking anger – Just too emotionally drained.

And to cap all these trust issues, the most important, the one that is life changing, the one that cuts me right to the core, is still about to come…

Naalala ko tuloy ang sinasabi ng anak ko pag mabigat sa pakiramdam ang kanyang iyak “my heart is breaking, it’s really really broken” with these trust issues, exactly how I feel.

Family is number ONE.

Lucky to have a loving and caring husband. Plus a big bonus is my sweet, smart and adorable daughter. I thank God everyday for this blessing.

Whatever challenges we have and will encounter, in both my families, I lift everything to you, Lord.

Pandora Love

Why do I like Pandora?

Pandora is sterling silver. Just like Tiffany’s or Thomas Saabo. As a brief history on my preference, I have a mother who can pass as a jeweler… there was a time she got really addicted to jewelries, she was the mother of all blings. She loves jewelry and I get to have hand me downs-my very own- at no cost (yes, lucky me!).

Modesty aside, I never had any inclination towards Tiffany’s. It’s a popular brand but never did I go to their website or get ecstatic when I see those powder blue boxes. But, I was honestly eyeing Thomas Saabo last year. I love charms! I love the idea of having my bracelets look chic and personalized. And even if it is simply silver, I am indifferent. Besides, I don’t think I can afford an array of white gold charms on my own if that is the material that comes with it.

To cut the story short, I never got to own Thomas Saabo (nor Tiffany’s), but hubby did! I got him a T.S. bracelet last Christmas. For whatever reason I had that time, I couldn’t remember, but now I know why… because the universe has another brand in store for me. It got my attention… and apparently my “addiction”!

I love the thought that I can buy a charm for special occasions, events, milestone… I am a very sentimental person, so this reason right here tops why I like Pandora. Instead of buying another material thing that would end up on the shelf or the messy pile after a few months… why not get a charm and end up creating a unique jewelry, made with lots of sentiments?

My first Pandora bracelet ♥

So yeah, I got myself a new project!

Arm Candy

Wearing it along with my favorite bracelets

(I have observed that I am a sucker for personalized things, kaya siguro ganito nlng ang appeal nito sakin)

On their website, you can design your own bracelet. I started my creation with the charms I have… and worked my way to this!!!

My Pandora Project

Okay, so I don’t know how I will achieve this gold set (ang mahal ng gold nila!!)

Swimming Lessons

I am a scared-y cat when it comes to swimming. For the love of life, I cannot swim in any form — If you drop me in the water, I’ll drown not only because of failure to swim but because of heart attack and panic.

This is the reason why at 4-years old, I am dutifully bringing my daughter to swimming lessons. I wanted a covered pool since the weather is so hot and humid. Scorching if I may add. Luckily, my internet research prowess led me to an unbeatable price of 2,5000 for 10 sessions  … on a covered pool! I must say it is not a first class resort, it doesn’t even come close to a 3-star maybe. It looks like a simple backyard pool decent enough to teach toddlers. With the price, I came without expecting sparkling clean amenities, just plain swimming lessons.

On that note, Coach April, who is part of the Philippine rowing team dedicates an hour to teach our 4-year olds (Went there with a friend), making it somehow a one-on-one approach.

Here are photos of our first few sessions:

Day 1: The little girl was very apprehensive. She didn’t want to follow instructions just yet.

Goggles on! Ready for Day 2

Day 2: In fairness to Sachi, she knew how to dive even before the lesson started… but it was the “frog dive” because she just jumps on her feet and dive with frog feet 😀

Day 4: Ready for the big pool!

I am so proud of Sachi. Well, coming from a “dipper” (literal, I just dip my feet in the water), seeing my daughter dive is a really joy for me. We have 6 more sessions to go, can’t wait to see her progress. Stage mother much! :p
