It’s been 4 months since I gave birth, I don’t have an office job, or an 8-5 job, but I still feel like there is “no time”. I’ve been wanting to update my blog as it (theoretically) seems like I have all the time in the world, but being a full time-slash-praning-mommy, there goes my update plans.

So, how did baby #2 change me?
I have turned into a zombie, I have become a light sleeper — I jump into the slightest sound at night, I became more praning as ever…

With the age gap of my daughters (such surreal feeling saying daughters with an “s”), I am back to square one. No I am not complaining, it’s a wonderful feeling actually. I’m like a newbie newborn mommy with baby #2. With my first born, I had post-birth complications, I had a day job. The reason why I had all the help I needed, and luckily, there were resources to do so. I didn’t really experience the series of puyat mode at night because I had a full time yaya who aids us with that.

Now with baby #2, it’s a different story. It is all me, it is all us. For the first 2 months, there was no helper, no yaya — I was basically breathing her, 24/7. If I needed to go somewhere, I can ask my parents to look after her for awhile (Thank God for grannies), but that’s just that. By the start of her 3rd month, we were able to get household helpers. But the thing with baby #2, even if there are helpers, I am still on top of things.

I am enjoying this, a midst the jumping from bed with the slightest scratch, just to check if she’s okay, the sleepless nights (especially the first 2 months — zombie mode).

Now, at 3 – 4 months, ako na yun gumigising every 3 hours to feed her… and when she has moments where she sleeps 4 to 5 hours straight, ako na ang nagpapanic, forcing her to feed as she may be hungry but too sleepy. LOL.

To my dear baby love aka baby #2, you came into our life just at the right time. We are more matured as parents, we are more ready to take on this challenge called parenthood all the way from step one. Whenever we look at you, we are mesmerized, smitten and everything in between. Just like with our first born, your ate, we cannot thank the Lord enough for the another wonderful blessing that is you.

I may have turned into a zombie, a jumper and a more praning mother…

All these, I am privileged to be… 😉
