A Day at Enchanted Kingdom

Enchanted Kingdom, the Disneyland of the Philippines 🙂

I have been to this theme park a handful of times. I can still remember the first time my family went here… it was sparkling brand new. That was January 2 year I-dont-know-anymore. Saying it was jam packed backed then is an understatement. I cannot forget the number of celebrities we saw. That made my first EK trip memorable, plus we went home riding only the Grand Carousel. We drove 4 hours all the way from the province… to ride the carousel!

Ever since that visit, I was itching to go back.

And I did, several times.

Fast track  at present — we were invited to attend Christophe’s birthday party here at EK.  Of course I was excited to go. Not only will it be the first time for Sachi, for us family, but it’s the first time of JM too! Yes, at his glorious thirty, it’s the hubby’s first time too.

We were the early birds, we got there at 2pm (di naman masyadong excited!), party started around 330pm. There was a brief program, food and desserts (yummy ice cream cake!) then by 5pm, guests were given the go signal to enjoy the ride all you can passes.

Unfortunately, since the sun has settled by the time we headed out, people started swarming. The earlier, almost empty rides now got lines swirling in multiple U’s. With a kid in tow, we don’t have that much patience waiting in long lines. Years have passed, the place still gets jam packed.

And yes, like my first time, JM & Sachi’s first was a no-ride visit too.

Sachi’s Party: The Checklist

1 more week and this is it! I’ve never been more excited for a kiddie party 🙂

Theme: Sanrio Candyland
Venue: Acropolis Clubhouse — fully paid, need to call for early ingress
Caterer: Passion Cooks — food tasting on Monday, finalize guest count
Invitations: 40 copies distributed, a few left, the rest text and facebook brigade 😀

Host: Waiting for program and game list (c/o Balloon Creations)
Entertainment: The Golden Show booked (c/o Balloon Creations)
— I’m still looking for a magic show and/or bubble show for additional entertainment
Extras: 2 Foodcarts (c/o Balloon Creations): check!
Cake: Need to choose what can fit the budget — drop by Kitchen Kraft tomorrow

To sum up the things I need to do a week before:
Food tasting
Choose cake
Print fill-up cards for guest book
Picture of Sachi for each table (still debating whether I’m dong this or not)
Find a magician and/or bubble show
Segregate Prizes
Chocolate fountain goodies

This is the first time I got a planner for a party, and I’m so not sanay! As in I want to bug my planner every minute coz I need to be part of all this. Now its proven, di talaga pwede may party planner sakin. On the day lang dapat.

One perk though is that I get to do so many (unnecessary) things. Di na ako naubusan ng iPprint. And since I volunteered to be the one in charge of prizes and giveaways, wala na ako ibang ginawa kundi bumili small stuff for the loot bag 🙂

I am so excited and afraid. Afraid because I have this unsure feeling because nga I don’t know everything, like I’m not the brains on every details. Di ko lam how the venue will look like, etc. I know I’m in very good hands with Balloon Creations, di lang talaga ako sanay!

Feb 7, I can’t wait 🙂

Celebrating Sachi’s 1st Birthday: Jan 26, 2010

My original plan was to take Sachi swimming. Tagal ko na gusto pumunta in one of the resorts in Antipolo, and today may be a good “excuse”.

But then Sachi just came from a month long colds… so that might not be a good idea. She might get sick all over again. So instead of swimming, we just went to the mall and shopped for birthday clothes 🙂 Not bad (at least for mommy and yays. hehe) 😀

How Sachi’s Special day went:

Breakfast – Pansit cooked by Mama and never ending singing of Happy Birthday ♫

11am — Pick up of Hello Kitty and friends cake and cupcakes. Sachi wanted to dive right into these little creatures :). I bought balloons too (and pumped them myself! *huff n puff*) to make Sachi feel like its her birthday.

4pm – Family time at Eastwood Mall

Sachi is officially ONE!

With Daddy-o!

4-530pm – Shopping for birthday dress

Fitting the oh so fluffy tutu at bebe fashionista (Eastwood Mall) — ooohhh wait.. “bebe fashionista” that’s the title of my blog page for Sachi too! See top tab (Pero di ko na nauupdate)

None of the above was purchased. Hehe. Too girly for Sachi, di masyadong bagay. Although yays wanted this second dress. Cute din but a little big. When she grows older perhaps. Or when it goes on sale. :p

We got her the 3rd outfit that she fitted (not in pic). Now we have to find her accessories… anyone knows where to get a silver bolero for kids other than gingersnaps?

530pm – Watched the water/fountain show. It was so nice to just sit and relax. It was cool and windy this afternoon. The perfect weather for a family day out.

6pm – Dinner at Sizzling Pepper Steak while reminiscing the events of Jan 26 2009

Quick Verdict: Pepper Lunch’s beef pepper rice is better, but i must say their fish ‘n chips is comparable to Fish & Co.

7:30pm – Back home — Yummy BBQ prepared by Mama before she left for Rizal.

Now that the day is coming to an end, we’re looking forward to our birthday celebration on the 7th!

Happy Birthday Dear Sachi! We hope you’ll grow up to be a healthy, happy, smart and God-fearing lady. We love you to pieces babachuch! We’re here for you ALWAYS ALWAYS.

Love Love Sachi!  ♥

Today, I woke up remembering that a year ago, I was having unusual cramps early in the morning. Recurrent cramps. I walked to my doctor’s clinic and to my surprise I am about to pop.

Today, I walk down the stairs to a smiley baby waving her right hand as if saying “Hi Mommy”. I danced and sang happy birthday, over and over.

It is such a cliche but time really fly so fast. My baby girl, who’s so fragile and sensitive is now this hyper little girl who squeals, laugh, walk, run and play with whomever she comes in contact with.

It has been a blessed year not only for Sachi, but for us, her parents. She’s grown to be a very healthy and happy baby.

On this special day, we would like to thank our Yaya Lita for taking care of Sachi like her own kid. To my side of the family for taking care and loving Sachi like she’s the only kid in the world, to jm’s side of the family, although away from us, never forgets my little babachuch.

With the outpouring love and support from our families, relatives, and friends, we are celebrating this day — the day I gave birth, Sachi’s FIRST birthday — with a big smile in our hearts, unending gratitude and overflowing LOVE.

Gimme! Gimme!

Yummy cupcakes!

Happy Birthday BAMSKY! Love love Sachi!

Nama Chocolates

Have you heard of Nama chocolates? Those melt in your mouth honest to goodness chocolates? For some its like a plain cocoa, for some it is comparable to truffles, others don’t have much take on its taste and price.

I, for one got intrigued when the Rolls Royce of chocolates aka Royce Confectioner opened its first store at Rockwell. My first bite was a chronicle. LOL. Did I mention I was very pregnant then?

Well now, I discovered another Nama chocolate which I think I love more because of its name:

Need you ask why?

I didn’t taste any difference with the Nama of Royce. And guess what? It’s cheaper. It’s priced around Php 25 per piece (compared to Php 30/pc for Royce). I initially thought it was way more inexpensive but then realized that the package has 15pcs as opposed to Royce’s 20pcs. Yeah let’s get technical. Haha. At Php 350, 15 pcs is enough to  satisfy my choco fix.

Oh Sachi Nama, you were made for me 🙂

Take a piece of Sachi

My 2 loves: JM & Sachi :p

Sachi Nama chocolates available at Heavenly Chocolates along Roces Avenue, almost near the intersection of Roces and Tomas Morato.

Their chocolate cake is pure heaven too. Super yummy!! Thank you to my (then) officemate who gave me a Php 500 value GC for a price of Php250 (or was it Php 300? Not sure anymore!) Made all these treats even more worth it 🙂
