Happy 5th Month Sachi!

Can you believe Sachi is 5 months already? Ang bilis! Most people find her big for her age. Whenever I look at her sleeping, I can’t believe how big she’s grown. Then I automatically I thank God for giving us a very healthy baby.

New developments of Sachi this month:

  • She can turn to her side both ways
  • She can pull her head up with straight her arms when on her tummy
  • Playing with her saliva is her favorite past time – a spitter!
  • She’s pulling up her head when lying on her stroller
  • She has tried orange juice (as per Pedia’s advice), but upon research I found out it might be too acidic for babies, so I stopped giving it.
  • She loves playing with her hands
  • She’s loving her loves bath time now
  • Unstoppable drooling
  • We successfully changed her gold earrings to a stud — in preparation for the cutest flower girl πŸ™‚
  • When sleeping, she moves from left to right, from right to left, or turn to her tummy. It’s a sleepless night coz I end up waking up every hour to check on her. Afraid that sleeping on her tummy might be suffocating.
  • She prefers to sit straight (without back support)
  • She can hold her rattle (but it eventually lands on her mouth)
  • She can hold her milk bottle with both hands (but still keeps on falling every minute)
  • She knows how to do “close-open” slowly. Papa calls it close open with semi-munding coz she does it really slow with her fingers closing one by one.
  • She laughs out loud when you tickle her neck and play with catch the cloth while lying on her tummy

*Munding I think is a term in the province where they show babies how to sway their hands gracefully.

JM & I had dinner at Nanay’s. We had spaghetti to celebrate Sachi’s birthday πŸ™‚

I got to see her only at night because from work, we went straight to Lourdes to attend a baptism seminar. Yup! We’re having her baptized next week so I’m currently busy with all the preparations.

I am actually writing this post on the day after her bday but I’m back tracking the date. Hehe. **Pics to follow

My Wedding Gown

Expect me to post wedding pics every now and then coz I can’t seem to finish posting wedding related entries. Well, for one, I’m not done choosing pics from SmartShot. Second, pictures from guests are just coming in, and third I have another celebration to prepare so I don’t have enough time to do all entries in one sitting.

Here are picsΒ taken from Chichong’s camera. This was taken at the end of the reception program. I like his shots! The beauty of my gown was captured. Thanks again to Czarina Villa for the intricate details of my beautiful gown!

My Gown

Details of my gown: (Shoutout to Cza, help me here! haha) French lace bodice with full beads and crystals…

The Power of Two

We’re the type of couple who wants to be together all the time. We would sometimes go outΒ and meet our respective friends (you know, all those you-need-to-have-time-to-be-alone, to be with your own set of friends), but we only end up missing each other that the next time we leave the house, we bring each other along.

Here we are, together forever in God’s Love.

Autobots Transform!

I love Transformers! It’s one of my fave non-chic flick. I watched the first transformers movie with Marsy at Cerritos Mall at LA two years ago. We were on our way to find the nearest In and Out burger, but we ended up on the cinemas of Cerritos, Marsy treating me to my first imported theatre experience. (Shoutout to Marianing: I miss you MH!)

Of course, I wouldn’t miss the sequel coz I loved the first so much! We got to watch early screening at Eastwood after office (just a few hours back). Not only did we get to watch it in advance, the ticket was sold at the same regular price. We thought it’s gonna be a little more expensive since its advanced screening (even if just for a day). Plus, the cinema is not full! I can just imagine nationwide opening day tomorrow…

I’m going to sleep smiling. And dreaming of these three:

Transformer Bumble BeeBumblebee

OptimusPrimeOptimus Prime

transformersAnd of course, Ted Hamilton!* πŸ™‚

*I know him as Ted Hamilton coz I onced watched a cable movie entitled “Win a Date with Ted Hamilton”, and he’s the ubber cute guy. Major crushing. With that note, I’m off to a goodnight sleep.

THE Day: Reception Details

If it’s only possible to oversee the reception preparation, I would have done it. But of course, I’m the bride so I have no choice but to let my OC-ness go and let the coordinators and the caterer do their jobs.

Not everything turned out theΒ  way I wanted it to be, but I guess that’s part of it. As they say, no wedding is perfect. You can only come close. Ours is actually on the brink of perfection, its just my OC-ness that’s keeping it from being one. Teehee.

The cake — which I tought was cupcake. LOL. just kidding! I just find it a tad small and the design.. so simple! I know I chose this, but the overall effect of what I chose didn’t look this plain. I was also disappointed with the color. They used yellow! As in yellow like light yellow – star yellow. Heller. My motif is emerald green and gold. I didn’t use green on reception details coz I wanted to focus on the gold tone. The cake shold have been on the gold tone. I said yes to yellow, thinking it will be on the gold tone. Far from it. Ohwell. It taste good naman so ok na din.

Our nest for the night. I love our backdrop, so Grecian, matching with my bridesmaids dresses πŸ™‚

Reception_lechonWe ordered Sabroso Lechons, honestly, I’m not really a fan of their laman, but I super love their balat! So crispy. All parts ha. The meat is tender yeah but since its a native pig, it has a different taste.

As what was suggested on a wedding blog (which I landed on in my wedding research – very informative and super organized wedding, love her scrapbook theme!), I made a powerpoint presentation of how I envisioned the reception details so that the banquet manager will have, more or less, an idea on my preference. I am OC when it comes to this. From the flowers to the table numbers, the menu to the name tags, I was very specific and hands-on. Overall, the reception looked great, but of course, I’m the only one who knows what I specified and not all were executed very well. I’m a little disappointed with them actually (Them — Josiah’s). I was expecting an excellent service (considering we spent a lot on them!) AND that all my approved requests will be executed. Word of advice if in case this happens to you. Don’t let it ruin your day. Just let go. And blog about it after. LOL.
